Release Notes – TechSuite Online Dashboard: Printable Reports, Better AI Summaries

Hi folks –

This round of updates is all in the Online Dashboard, so there’s nothing to install. Reports now print properly, AI summaries are more accurate, and large Custom Apps upload without trouble.

Report pages now have a Print button, including reports you share with customers through a public link. We also reworked how reports look on paper. Columns stack, tables continue onto the next page instead of getting cut off, and the big blank gaps and oversized tiles are gone. Buttons and filters don’t show up in the printout.

If you expand a tool’s Full Output before printing, it’s included. To get a PDF, choose Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialog.

This one came from a customer who wanted to hand a printed report to their client. Thanks for asking.

More accurate AI summaries

If you use AI summaries, they should be noticeably better.

  • They’re based on what actually happened. The summary now gets each tool’s real result, along with the mode it ran in. That means it no longer reports a fix on a run that only looked (a “List Only” or “Diagnose Only” mode, for example), or calls something a success when the tool reported a failure. Drive warnings also name the right drive.
  • They’re shorter and plain text. Summaries are now a few short lines with no formatting characters, so you won’t see stray asterisks in the report email or in Slack and Teams webhooks. On the report page, line breaks show as they should.

These changes apply to summaries written for new reports.

Custom Apps over 100 MB

Uploading a Custom App file larger than 100 MB used to fail. Files now go straight to storage from your browser, with a progress bar, so large installers and zip files upload fine. The 1 GB of hosted storage per shop still applies.

Also fixed

  • Deleted reports. If you open a report that was deleted somewhere else, like from TechSuite on the computer or in another tab, you’re now taken back to your reports list with a note that it was deleted, instead of an error page.
