Release Notes – TechSuite Windows App 2.0.3: Quick Run
Hi folks –
TechSuite Windows App 2.0.3 is out. The headline is Quick Run, a way to run a single tool without the rest of the process. There are also a couple of fixes in the app, and some improvements to the Online Dashboard.
Quick Run
Normally, running one tool still creates a report, generates insights, uploads the results and emails the report. Quick Run skips all of that and just runs the tool. It’s useful when you don’t need a report, or when you’re running a manual tool.
You’ll find it on the Tools page, next to Run Tool. TechSuite shows the tool’s output as it runs, then the full output when it finishes, with Run Again and Back to Tools. Manual tools that open in their own window don’t send any output back, so for those Quick Run just launches them.
Quick Run doesn’t save a report or upload anything. For jobs you need on record, keep using Run Tool or a procedure. More in the docs.
Also in 2.0.3
- More reliable updates. We fixed cases where the automatic updater could fail to install a new version.
- Subscription status handled properly. If your TechSuite subscription is canceled or past due, the Windows app now tells you there’s a problem with your account instead of closing without explanation. Check Billing in the Online Dashboard, or email us.
In the Online Dashboard
- Report branding colors. Fixed an issue with your shop’s branding colors on reports.
- Faster uploads. Uploads from the Windows app are now processed in the background, so the app no longer sits waiting on the server.
- Syncro ticket comment visibility. Comments now keep their public or private visibility setting.
